What this site records, which is almost nothing.
I want to work in Europe again, so I built this the way I would want a site to be built if I were the one reading it. There is no legal department behind this page, just a plain description of what happens.
- No third parties
- This site loads nothing from anyone else. No analytics service, no advertising, no tag manager, no embedded video, no external fonts. Every file, including every photograph, comes from this domain. Links to my film portfolio, my companies and LinkedIn are ordinary links: nothing loads from them unless you click.
- No cookies
- None. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
- Private links, and only private links
- If you arrived through a link I sent you personally, that link is recorded as opened, along with how long the page was in front of you, the language you read it in, whether it was on a phone, tablet or computer, and the website that sent you, if one did. If you arrived at the public address, nothing at all is recorded. I do this so I know whether the people I write to have seen what I sent, not to build a picture of anyone.
- What is never stored
- Your IP address, your precise location, your browser’s identifying string, and any recording of what you did on the page. Country is derived at the edge and the address itself is discarded before anything is written down.
- The contact form
- It opens your own mail client with the message already written. Nothing is sent from this site and nothing is kept here.
- Ask and it is gone
- Write to me and I will delete whatever is associated with your visit. There is no form for this and no waiting period; it is one message to one person.
